Who we are
Genesis Algorithms is a trading name of ASYNCORIGINS LTD, a company registered in the UK with company number 11501299. Our registered office is 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX. We are the controller of personal information used to manage website enquiries and our business relationships. Contact contact@genesisalgorithms.com about this notice or your information.
Information and purposes
When you contact us, we receive the name, email address, company details and project information you choose to provide. We use this information to respond, discuss your requirements and manage our relationship. Information needed to take steps at your request before a contract, or fulfil a contract with you, is processed on that basis. For business contacts and general enquiries, our legitimate interest is communicating about our services and running our business. We may retain records to meet legal obligations or establish and defend legal claims.
The contact form prepares an email draft in your browser. Completing the form does not send it to us: you choose whether to send it through your email application. Please avoid including sensitive personal information. Providing enquiry details is voluntary, but without a way to contact you we cannot respond.
Hosting and service providers
Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and request logs to deliver pages and maintain security. We use Zoho for business email. Relevant information may also be shared with professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or claims. External websites linked from our portfolio and social links operate under their own privacy notices.
Service providers may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer takes place, an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism is required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
Cookies and browser storage
The website does not include advertising or analytics trackers. The cookie bar lets you choose whether we may remember optional preferences in your browser. If allowed, local storage remembers your light or dark theme and session storage remembers whether you have seen the intro. If you choose Essential only, these optional preferences are not stored; you can still change the theme for the current page.
We store your cookie preference choice locally so that we can respect it on later visits. You can change it using Cookie settings in the footer, or clear your browser storage. Theme and consent choices remain until changed or cleared; the intro marker lasts for the browser session. Hosting security features may use storage necessary to protect and deliver the website.
How long information is kept
Accounting records are kept for six years from the end of the last company financial year they relate to, or longer where legally required, including relevant HMRC checks. Other enquiry and project information is retained only while needed to respond, deliver agreed services or resolve an outstanding matter or legal claim. Retention is assessed against those purposes; there is no blanket maximum period covering all personal information. Information no longer needed is deleted or anonymised. Contact us about the retention of your records or to request deletion, subject to continuing legal requirements.
Your rights and concerns
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive transferable data. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We do not use website enquiry information for solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Email contact@genesisalgorithms.com to exercise your rights or raise a concern. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Updates
We may update this notice when the website or our practices change. The date above shows the latest revision. This notice covers our agency website and enquiries; any different handling of personal data within a client project should be addressed in the relevant project documentation.
